The Summer Camp program is open to students aged 2½ to 6 years old. This program runs during the months of June, July, and August. Many outdoor activities are planned for this program.

The children are involved in a Summer Reading Program at our local library, which encourages reading skills. Swimming lessons are also offered off-site for children to learn the important skills of water safety and swimming.

A full Montessori environment is available for students to enhance their academic growth also. Both full and part-time positions are available for students.

Susan Halkin
Director & Teacher

Susan founded the school in 1979. She received her Montessori Teacher Training in Chicago in 1973. She has taught in Chicago, New York, and Denver, before settling at the Children's House. Susan and her husband Paul have a daughter and a son.
